The Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships are patterned after the Olympic Games. Beginning with the Georgia Association Championships, LRC Athletes have the opportunity to advance to the Regional and National Cross Country Championships. Individuals who place in the top 20 and the top 4 Teams (with a min. of 5 runners & a max. of 8 runners) in each age Division at the Georgia Association Championships advance to the Region III Championships.
Last year, 25 LRC Athletes competed in the Georgia Association Country Championships, and almost all qualified to compete in the Region Championships in Richmond, VA. Our Intermediate Girls Team won the Region III Championships and qualified for National Championships, also in Richmond, VA.
