                                 ************NEXT MEETING*************

WHEN:             Monday, December 8, 2014 at 7:00 pm

WHERE:          Recess, 118 Bradford Street NW, Gainesville, GA

PROGRAM:     Club Christmas Party

FOOD:              The club will provide appetizers. You will be able to order your dinner and drinks from the menu. There will be a party atmosphere.

ANGEL TREE:  We will be hosting a family this year, as we discussed at our last meeting, and have done in the past. We received a name from the Gainesville Salvation Army. The family is a single mother with 3 kids and their list is not very long.

Time is short and we have to have the items turned into the Salvation Army by Tuesday 12/9/14. Those wishing to contribute can make a donation of cash or a Wal-Mart Gift Card to Shari Lunsford at the meeting/party. She will purchase items on their list. The main items are winter coats and gloves, and only 1 game each. We can make these kids happy and warm this year by providing them their essentials, and one request. We will purchase the items at Wal-Mart. The Salvation Army does not want the items wrapped, so that will save a lot of time.

Lets give back to our community and those less fortunate. Remember, no gift is too small.

This is your club and the more the merrier! Since December is such a busy month, we have been holding our holiday party on our regular meeting night.

Hope to see you there!!

Race Time:  9:00am

Thank you Lanier Running Club members, for your very generous donations to our adopted family at Christmas. Sorry that this notice is so late but would like to share some of the highlights of where the donations went,

With over $600.00 in cash and gift cards, plus gifts, we were able to provide each of the 4 kids with almost everything on their lists; spending approximately $100.00 each. We got the 3 year old boy a bike, toys and a couple outfits. each of the 3 girls received an outfit and highlights from their lists. The parents had gift cards for either groceries or more gifts plus money that could be used for car repairs. The church was made aware that they requested car repairs and there is someone at the church that owns a shop that could help.

Attached is a picture of all the wrapped gifts. I hope this family had a wonderful Christmas thanks to our little running club.

Again, thank you for your donations and your participation in blessing others. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
